Teen charged with Valentine's night killing in the North

A teenager was today charged with the killing of a newspaper worker outside a Belfast nightclub on St Valentine’s night.

Aaron Montgomery, 23, was found dead outside Skye Bar in the city centre in the early hours of Friday morning.

The business studies graduate from Co Down, was working at the News Letter’s marketing department.

Detectives were questioning a 19-year-old man arrested yesterday in connection with the death at around 1.30am after St Valentine’s night at the club.

He was charged today with manslaughter and will be brought before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday morning, according to the PSNI.
