Minister bids to allay fears over OAP swipe cards

New swipe cards will not cause hardship for OAPs living in rural areas without access to automated post offices, Minister for Social and Family Affairs Martin Cullen said today.

Labour TD Kathleen Lynch claimed yesterday that thousands of over 65s would have to go to the nearest big town to use the new technology to get their weekly pensions.
