Children's rights groups have reportedly come out strongly against the idea of holding a referendum on child protection on the same day as the Lisbon Treaty vote.

The Government is currently considering holding two referendums on children's rights in light of the Supreme Court ruling that previous laws against underage sex were unconstitutional.
