Man due in court in connection with fatal Galway stabbing

A 45-year-old man is due in court this morning in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Portuguese man in Co Galway over the weekend.

A 45-year-old man is due in court this morning in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Portuguese man in Co Galway over the weekend.

The 43-year-old victim was stabbed during a row at a house on Dominick Street in Portumna in the early hours of yesterday morning.

He was taken to hospital and underwent surgery, but died a number of hours later.

The victim is believed to have been living and working in Portumna for several years.
