Gardaí arrest man in €70k drug seizure

Gardaí have made another significant drug seizure in Dublin.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested after drugs worth around €70,000 were recovered in a planned operation.

Small quantities of crack cocaine have also been seized.

Gardai were working as part of an ongoing operation to target the supply of illegal drugs in the Clondalkin area of West Dublin.

Officers arrested a 24-year-old at a house at Collinstown Grove in Clondalkin at about 2am this morning.

A statement from the Gardaí says small quantities of what are believed to be crack cocaine and cannabis were also recovered, along with drug paraphernalia.

The 24-year-old is being held at Ronanstown Garda Station and is being questioned under drug trafficking legislation.
