The trial has opened in the Central Criminal Court today of a Roscommon man who allegedly raped a then 11-year-old girl more than 25 years ago.

The trial has opened in the Central Criminal Court today of a Roscommon man who allegedly raped a then 11-year-old girl more than 25 years ago.

The 49-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to one charge of raping her in 1982 and 29 charges of indecently assaulting her on dates between 1979 and 1986.
