HSE ambulance staff to ballot for strike action

More than 1,000 ambulance staff are to be balloted for strike action in the coming days due to a dispute regarding private contracts.

SIPTU says the ballot is being arranged after the Health Service Executive awarded three contracts to private ambulance services during the Christmas period.
