The Dublin crime boss known as the Viper is in a stable condition in hospital this morning, after he was shot several times yesterday afternoon.

The Dublin crime boss known as the Viper is in a stable condition in hospital this morning, after he was shot several times yesterday afternoon.

Martin Foley was shot six times in the head and chest as he sat in his car on the Lower Kimmage Road.

The Viper was part of the Dublin crime scene in the 1980s and 1990s.

Yesterday's attack was the fourth attempt on his life.
