Gardaí launch murder probe in Dublin
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in west Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
It's understood that the 66-year-old died from injuries he sustained in a fight at Wellview Grove in Blanchardstown at 2am.
The man was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A second man was also taken to hospital after being injured in the incident but his injuries are not life threatening.
The scene at Wellview Grove has been preserved for a technical examination and the State Pathologist has been informed.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
