Heroin seized as dealers targeted

About €15,000 worth of heroin has been seized by gardaí targeting dealers in west Dublin.

One man in his late teens has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown garda station on suspicion of drug trafficking.

Gardaí raided an address at Greenfort Park, Clondalkin, at 7pm last night as part of a continuing operation into the supply of drugs in the Lucan area of Dublin.

“The operation is aimed at disrupting the activities of drug dealers in the district,” said a garda spokesman.

“The searches were carried out by district drugs units and detective units with assistance provided by local regular units and the divisional task force.

“During the course of the searches a quantity of drugs and assorted paraphernalia were recovered.”
