An Aer Arann flight from Donegal to Dublin has been diverted to Derry today because of a technical fault with its engine.

The company says flight RE 202 left Carrickfinn for Dublin at 9.50am and landed safely at City of Derry Airport at 10.30am.

There were 36 passengers and three crew members on board the 50-seater aircraft.
