Four arrested in connection with attempted burglary in Cork
Four men have been arrested in Cork following an attempted armed burglary this morning.
The gang, one of whom was armed with a shotgun, are suspected to have broke into flats in Mary Street in the city centre at about 5am this morning.
Gardaà arrived at the scene after being alerted by neighbours who heard breaking glass and shouting.
The gang fled the scene but were apprehended by gardaà a short distance away.
A number of other weapons were discovered in follow up searches.
The men are all aged in their 20s and 30s and are being detained at Anglesea Street and the Bridewell Garda Stations.
