The PSNI is today appealing for motorists who witnessed a fatal crash in Strabane in Co Tyrone in the early hours of this morning to come forward.

The PSNI is today appealing for motorists who witnessed a fatal crash in Strabane in Co Tyrone in the early hours of this morning to come forward.

Three people died in the crash which occurred on the Fyfin Road outside Castlederg just after midnight.

Thirteen-year-old Emma Sweeney and her brother 11-year-old Eamon died when the car they were travelling and another car were in collision.

The driver of the other car, 18-year-old Jonathan Miller from Artigarvan, also died.

A woman and a young boy were also injured were taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road remains sealed off today as police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
