Ireland facing 20% emissions cuts under EU strategy

Ireland is to face some of the toughest targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the EU.

Under the European Commission's new climate strategy, the burden of reducing emissions is to be shared out amongst the 27 member states, with the richest countries being hit the hardest.
