Jury in Donegal rape trial sent to hotel overnight

The jury in the trial of a Donegal man for allegedly raping a woman who said she had earlier snorted cocaine has been sent to a hotel for the night after failing to return a verdict.

The 37 year-old accused had pleaded not guilty in the Central Criminal Court to one count each of rape and sexual assault of a Cork woman on the morning of January 30, 2005.
