Clare teenager to stand trial for murder in Dublin

A teenager charged with murdering a 14-year-old boy outside a fast food restaurant in County Clare has been sent forward for trial in Dublin.

A teenager charged with murdering a 14-year-old boy outside a fast food restaurant in County Clare has been sent forward for trial in Dublin.

Michael Doherty died in hospital after being stabbed in the chest outside Supermacs on O'Connell Street in Ennis on the 23rd of June last year.

The Book of Evidence in the case was lodged at the Children's Court in Ennis today.

Judge Joseph Mangan has sent the case forward to the current sitting of the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.
