The victim of a shooting in Limerick last week is on a life-support machine at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle.

The victim of a shooting in Limerick last week is on a life-support machine at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle.

The 18-year-old, from Garryowen, was shot in the neck and leg by a masked gunman on Parnell St last Friday evening.

The shooting has been linked to an on-going criminal feud in the city.

Gardaí are still waiting to speak to the victim and are maintaining a constant presence at the hospital, where he remains in the intensive care unit.

His condition is described as critical but stable.
