Taoiseach heads to Tanzania on second leg of Africa trip
The Taoiseach is travelling to Tanzania this morning on the second leg of his week-long visit to southern Africa.
Bertie Ahern is leading a trade mission to the region involving around 50 Irish firms, as well as officials from the IDA and Enterprise Ireland.
Today, he is due to briefly meet Tanzanian President Jakaya Kilwete and to visit a water project in Dar-es-Salaam that is funded by the Irish Government.
He will also meet TB and leprosy patients at a hospital supported by Irish Aid.
