The two Irish soldiers injured in yesterday’s incident in Lebanon have been named as Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) John McCormack and Company Sergeant (C/S) David Williams.

The two spent last night in Hammoud Hospital in Saida and were visited by Irish personnel yesterday evening who conveyed the best wishes of the Minister for Defence and the Chief of Staff.
