Concern is growing today for the safety of Irish teenager Amy Fitzpatrick, who has been missing in southern Spain for more than a week.

A major search operation has failed to find any trace of the 15-year-old Dubliner, who moved to the Costa del Sol with her mother, brother and stepfather three years ago.

She was last seen when she left a friend's house early on New Year's Day.

Hundreds of volunteers are expected to join in the search for the teenager today.
