Irish adventurers set to reach South Pole this evening

A team of adventurers led by Corkman Pat Falvey is expected to make history this evening as the first Irish expedition to reach the South Pole.

The four explorers embarked in November on a 1,100km trek through some of the harshest conditions on the planet.
