Woman held after Drogheda assault

A 23-year-old woman is being detained at Drogheda garda station in connection with a serious assault in the town early yesterday.

A 29-year-old man remains in a critical condition in Dublin's Beaumont Hospital after he was found with serious head injuries at Rowan Heights, off Marley's Lane at around 3am.

The woman, who was arrested yesterday evening, is being held by gardaí under section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act.
