Winning Lotto ticket purchased in Loughrea

There was one winning ticket for last night’s Lotto jackpot worth over €13m.

The winning ticket was a €12 “Quick Pick” bought yesterday at News ’N’ Choose newsagent in Loughrea, Co Galway.

Shop owner Cherry O’Connor said: “We’ve absolutely no idea who the winner is. It could be an individual person or somebody that is part of a syndicate.”

The €13m euro prize, one of the biggest in National Lottery history, was the result of 11 rollovers since November 14.

Last July the jackpot reached €16m.

A total of 322 people have become millionaires since National Lottery games began.

More than €4bn has been paid out in prize money.
