Search of Shannon underway for missing Clare man

A major search of the lower River Shannon is getting underway this morning in a bid to find a Clare man who has been missing for two weeks.

24-year-old James Burke from Whitegate, has not been seen since the night of Sunday December 9, when he was out with friends in Killaloe, Co Clare.

He was last spotted near the Anchor Bar, by a bridge, shortly after 10pm and it's feared he may have fallen in to the water.

A two week search for Mr Burke has failed to find any trace of him.
