Woman's body found in Cork apartment

A woman’s body has been found in an apartment in Cork city.

The discovery was made at around lunchtime in the Gerald Griffin St area.

A garda spokesman said a post mortem examination is due to be carried out this evening by assistant state pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
