Man arrested after €70k cocaine seizure in Cork

Gardaí in Cork have arrested a man in his 20s following a cocaine seizure in the Glen area of the city overnight.

One kilo of the drug - worth an estimated €70,000 - was found during a raid on a house at around midnight.

Meanwhile, a man is due in court today following a cannabis seizure in Limerick city yesterday.

The man was arrested after gardaí found four kilos of the drug during a search of a van in the St Mary's Park area.

Another three kilos of cannabis were also found during a search of a house in the area.

A 52-year-old woman was detained following that search, but was later released without charge.
