Government pledges extra €40m for Palestinian territories

The Government has today pledged an extra €40m for reconstruction and development in the Palestinian territories.

The pledge has been made at an international donors' conference being held in Paris today as part of a renewed international push for an agreement to establish an independent Palestinian state.

The Palestinian government is seeking almost €4bn in aid over the next three years.
