Pipe bomb left outside Strabane station

Police in the North have appealed for witnesses following a security alert at Strabane Police Station last night.

Just before midnight a device, believed to be a pipe bomb was found at the gates of the station.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen two men - wearing dark clothing - in the vicinity to come forward.

Further searches will be carried out in the area today.
