Two still in custody following Louth heroin seizure
Gardaí are continuing to question two men in connection with a drug seizure in Co Louth yesterday.
They were arrested during an operation targeting the international drugs trade involving the Gardaí, the PSNI and Dutch Police.
Heroin worth an estimated €3.2m was seized when a jeep was stopped on the N2 near Collen yesterday afternoon.
They arrested the 27-year-old driver, who has an address in Kildare while a second man, aged 45, was arrested driving on the M1 south of Dundalk.
Both men are being questioned at Navan Garda station.
A third man was later arrested and is being questioned by police in the North.
