7,000 ecstasy tablets seized in Co Wicklow

Gardaí in County Wicklow have seized 7,000 ecstasy tablets, worth €70,000.

The seizure was made by the local drug unit during a search of a house at Kilgarron Park in Enniskerry in the early hours of the morning.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Bray Garda Station where she was being held under drug trafficking legislation.

The woman is to appear before Bray District Court later this afternoon.

The search and seizure were the result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of ecstasy in the Bray and Enniskerry area.
