Motorists warned to beware of icy roads

Motorists are being warned of poor driving conditions this morning, with black ice on many roads around the country.

The M7 through Laois, Kildare and the Wicklow Mountains is particularly bad.

Conditions are also icy on the N81 at Baltinglass, the N11 at Enniscorthy, the M1 Drogheda bypass, the N2 at Reaghstown in Louth and the N3 in Cavan and Meath.

In Dublin, a truck which shed its load on the Naas Road at Kingswood is causing long delays.
