River searches resume for three missing men

Searches are resuming this morning for three men who are believed to have fallen into rivers in Clare, Tipperary and Longford at the weekend.

Searches are resuming this morning for three men who are believed to have fallen into rivers in Clare, Tipperary and Longford at the weekend.

A man in his 20s is understood to have fallen into the River Fergus in Ennis at around 2am on Sunday, while a man in his 40s fell from into the River Suir from a bridge in Cahir at around 10am on Saturday night.

Searches yesterday failed to find any trace of the men.

A search is also underway in Longford town for a man who was last seen near the River Camlin on Saturday.
