Third person arrested in relation to shooting of Dublin garda

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a third person in connection with the shooting of a uniformed motorcycle garda in the city almost three months ago.

Paul Sherlock was shot in September at Ossory Road in Dublin's north inner city after he stopped a stolen car.

He suffered stomach injuries in the incident.

A man and a woman were arrested last night in Clondalkin in connection with the attack and remain in custody today.

A man in his 30s was also detained in the north inner city this morning and is being questioned at Whitehall Garda Station.
