The North's First and Deputy First Ministers are due to meet US President George W Bush today as part of their week-long trip to America.

Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness will be urging Mr Bush to take part in a conference in Belfast next year aimed at attracting investment to bolster the new power-sharing arrangement in the North.

They also want British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to attend the event.

The two men are meeting Congressmen and Senators on Capitol Hill in Washington today as part of their US trip.
