Man dies after being hit by lorry in Monaghan

A man was killed tonight after he was struck by a lorry.

Gardaí said the incident happened on the N2 at Kilnacloy, Co Monaghan, shortly after 7.30pm.

The 58-year-old died later at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Gardaí at Monaghan Town are investigating.
