CSO reports sharp fall in poverty risk among elderly

The CSO has reported a significant fall in the proportion of elderly people in Ireland who are at risk of living in poverty.

The statistics agency says 13.6% of elderly people were at risk of poverty in 2006, compared to 20.1% in 2005.
