Woman, 83, dies after being hit by car in Westmeath

An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car in Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, yesterday evening.

The accident happened on Lower Bridge Street at around 5.30pm.

The 83-year-old victim was later pronounced dead at Tullamore General Hospital.
