Man crushed to death by truck

Two investigations were launched tonight after a man was crushed to death by a truck.

The man in his 40s was killed while working at a recycling company in the Merrywell Industrial Estate near Clondalkin, west Dublin.

The accident happened at around 5.30pm.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the death.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem examination will take place at Tallaght Hospital.
