Fee-paying schools continue to dominate feeder lists
New figures reportedly show that students who attend fee-paying schools and grind schools are continuing to dominate university enrolments.
Reports this morning say the Dublin-based Institute of Education, the largest grind school in the country, tops the league for the number of students who secured university places this year.
Of its 780 Leaving Cert pupils, 477 gained places in the five universities covered by the figures or the Royal College of Surgeons.
A number of other fee-paying schools also reportedly feature strongly in the list.
