Man still in custody in connection with double murder

Gardaí in Dublin are continuing to question a man this morning as part of their investigation into last month's double murder in the Walkinstown area of the city.

The man was arrested along with a woman yesterday, but the woman was later released without charge.

They were held in connection with the murders of 40-year-old Brian Downes and 24-year-old Eddie Ward on October 5.

Both men were gunned down in a gangland-style shooting.
