Garda attacked with iron bar in Co Tipperary

Gardaí are searching for three men who attacked a uniformed officer in Co Tipperary last night.

The incident happened when the officer stopped a car travelling towards the Vee in Bohernagore at around 8.30pm.

The garda sustained minor injuries after being struck with what is believed to be an iron bar.

At least one of the attackers was wearing a balaclava.

Their car, thought to be a dark-coloured Hyundai Accent, was driven off in the direction of Lismore.
