Fire causes traffic disruption on M1

A truck is on fire on the M1 between Dundalk and the Carrickdale Hotel and the motorway is now down to one lane northbound.

Gardaí and the fire service are at the scene.

Visibility is poor in both directions so extreme caution is advised.

Motorists are being asked to slow down and use dipped headlights.
