Gardaí appeal to anonymous caller in Cork-death probe
Gardaí in Cork are appealing to an anonymous caller who contacted them this week in relation to the death of 74-year-old Gussie Hornibrook.
The person spoke to the gardaí for some time, leading them to believe that he or she might have more valuable information to disclose.
Mr Hornibrook was discovered dead in his home on the north side of Cork city on Tuesday.
Gardaí are treating his death as murder, but have not disclosed the results of a post mortem and have declined to comment on reports that he was tied up.
