A woman in her forties has been killed in a road accident in Co Westmeath.

A woman in her forties has been killed in a road accident in Co Westmeath.

Her car left the N25 at Carrick in Mullingar and crashed through a fence just after 11.30am this morning.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled to take place at Mullingar General Hospital.
