MRC seeks temporary visas for undocumented migrants

The Migrant Rights Centre (MRC) is today calling on the Government to introduce temporary bridging visas for immigrant workers who have become undocumented due to workplace exploitation, deception or redundancy.

The Migrant Rights Centre (MRC) is today calling on the Government to introduce temporary bridging visas for immigrant workers who have become undocumented due to workplace exploitation, deception or redundancy.

The centre wants Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan to introduce the measure on humanitarian and practical grounds.

The Government is currently supporting a similar campaign on behalf of illegal Irish immigrants in the United States.
