Two held in connection with gun and drug finds

A man and a woman have been arrested during a wave of raids that uncovered several firearms and a large stash of drugs, it emerged tonight.

Four sawn-off shotguns and three pistols - one of them fully loaded - was recovered in the swoop on several locations throughout Co Kildare.
