Search underway after man falls into sea in Clare

A search is underway in Co Clare for a man who was seen falling in to the sea near Kilkee this afternoon.

The Shannon-based coastguard helicopter is helping local rescue crews in the search, which is centred around an area known locally as the Pollack Holes.

The alarm was raised by a member of the public at around 2pm today.
