Heroin seized in north Dublin

Gardaí tonight seized €750,000 worth of heroin in a swoop on a house in north Dublin.

The 3.5kg of the drug was found in the building in Greenwood Estate in Coolock.

Gardaí said a small amount of cocaine was also discovered.

A 22-year-old man was arrested in the house and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Coolock Garda Station.

“The search, at around 5.30pm, was the result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the north Dublin area,” said a Garda spokesman.
