Gardaí seek witnesses to fatal Maynooth road crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a road accident in which a 30-year-old man died after being struck by a car.

The accident happened just after 7am last Thursday morning on the Straffan Road in Maynooth, Co Kildare.

The car involved is believed to have been turning right on the Straffan Road/Celbridge Road Junction when it hit the man.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Dublin, where he died from his injuries on Monday.
