Police in North come under petrol-bomb attack

Police came under petrol bomb and firework attack during trouble in Co Armagh, they revealed today.

Officers were pelted after carrying out searches in Lurgan, where mob disorder has broken out over several nights.

Four teenagers – two girls and two boys – were arrested during last night’s trouble and later released. All of them are to be reported to a youth diversion officer.

Paint bombs and a quantity of petrol were seized during last night’s operation, which was centred in the Lurgan Park area.
